Plumbing in Marietta, GA FAQs

What should I do in a plumbing emergency in Marietta, GA?

In a plumbing emergency in Marietta, GA, first, shut off the main water supply to prevent further flooding or damage. Locate the main shut-off valve, typically found near the water meter or where the main water line enters the house. If the issue involves a specific fixture, turn off the valve closest to that fixture. Next, turn off the water heater to prevent damage. Quickly assess the problem and, if necessary, use temporary measures like pipe clamps or plumber's tape to minimize leakage. Contact a local emergency plumber immediately for professional assistance to resolve the issue promptly.

Do You Have A Pinhole Copper Leak?

Cobb County's water supply contains hard water, which is water with a high concentration of dissolved minerals like calcium and magnesium. Over time, these minerals break down the lining of copper pipes, causing small pinhole leaks. Call us for our recommendations to remedy these issues, whether that be short-term fixes or longer-term solutions. Installing a whole house water softener or repiping to a different material are some of the remedies for areas with hard water.
