Customer accepted estimate to switch three handle shower valve to one single handle shower valve. Stated to customer that with the cover plate, it would look awkward and possibly may not even fit. Gave customer option just to install new three handle shower valve and customer agreed. Furnished and installed new three handle shower valve. Also replaced half-inch copper piping both hot and cold up to shower valve. Tested and no leaks were present at this time. Cleaned up work area and caulked around trim. Chen plumbing is not responsible for sheet rock repair
Customer had a couple of customer provided shower cartridges that needed replacement. Also looked at three-quarter copper line leaking due to oxidation of piping. Piping is only 10 years old. Gave options for repairs/replacements. Also gave additional options for water filtration. shut off water and replace both cartridges then replace the section of three-quarter copper to fix leak. Checked all areas of work for leaks and proper function.
The buyer requested us to come out and give him some solutions and look at the plumbing for the property he is interested in buying. Upon arrival buyer greeted me on driveway and showed me the home and what he wants done which is add a new garbage disposal and convert the tub/shower three handle to a single handle. I did my inspection and found that the gas line for the GWH is copper and severely restricted bent at the shut off and he needs new shut off as well as to remove some old abandoned pipe. I found a leak from a cold 1/2 copper line that is leaking at the elbow and the laundry drain line is completely deformed at the first 3 inches and they need a new whole home shut off. Buyer states that he is said to close the first of December and will let us know when he wants it done after closing.
