Customer is having skin irritation when using the water in the shower. Customer stated her skin is itching now after getting out of the shower or getting her tap water on it. Customers water heater is 12 years old and has not been flushed since she has lived in the home, customers home also has no filtration system for the incoming water. Customer wanted to know if we would flush the water heater, informed customer we would not flush the water heater due to the age but we could replace it and add a 3 canister filtration system to the incoming water. Customer stated a previous plumber told her the water heater was in great shape, informed customer it is hard to say it is great shape without being able to see inside the tank. Gave customer estimate, customer declined estimate.
Old spout removed on arrival. Installed customer supplied spout in upstairs guest restroom tub. Tested and left in working order. Found water in water heater pan and water heater is from 2007. Estimate given for replacement.
Diagnosed leak in area we have previously worked in. Tested tub shower thoroughly and for long time. No leaks from water lines or drain detected. Recommend keeping area exposed and if issue returns to record to be able to better detect where issue is if it returns.
